Display Energy Certificates (DEC)

We offer a quality service to help you comply with the legislation. Larger public buildings offer a complex challenge to the surveyor to determine the best possible way to increase efficiency. Our experienced and expert assessors provide a detailed survey of the performance of the building as a whole. Accompanying the DEC will be an advisory report (AR) that will guide future energy performance improvements.

DECs must be renewed annually and will show (if recommendations are followed) the increases in energy efficiency over subsequent years. The AR is valid for 7 years. Display Energy Certificates are only currently mandatory  for buildings with a total useful floor area over 1,000m 2 that are occupied by a public authority and institution providing a public service to a large number of persons (oddly defined as being more than 1) and therefore visited by those persons.
